Update!
Hey Noders! NODES has just received a major update containing new features, quality of life improvements, scoring changes and more! Enjoy!
P.S: There will be a Revive button on the death screen. It doesn't serve any purpose for now... but we'll see! The update log can be found in our Devlog.
Post-Jam Update
Hey guys, it's me, Oscar. I'm happy to announce that I'll be working off of the feedback we received to further improve NODES and push it to a final build we can release on PC and Mobile, and on Steam! We'll provide a social medial handle you can follow for updates later.
Overview
Nodes is a project made from scratch by the team at Certifiably Unqualified for the GMTK Game Jam contest, 2021. Nodes integrates the theme of "Join Together" through the concept of a triple pendulum connected through 'joints' which you aim to protect. As the joints are hit, they separate, ending the level when you lose all joints.
Introduction
You are a network of organisms escaping a laboratory and you need to survive waves of drone attacks.
Swing around like a pendulum to destroy drones but be careful to protect your weak points: the connecting nodes. If a drone hits you at the joints, you will lose lengths of organisms and lose.
Controls
Use 1, 2, 3, 4 keys to attach/detach respective nodes.
Use SpaceBar to give a kick to the end of the pendulum.
Node order begins from the right, indicated by the gradually weakening connections.
